Tom was such a gentleman. I'll miss seeing him on the golf course!

For almost ten years I was a continuing student at Joliet Junior College. I took one or two classes at a time along with an Applied Woodwinds Class. For all those years, and all of those semesters, Dr. Liley allowed me to continue taking Applied Woodwinds, so I could be a better flutist, and a better musician.

Dr. Liley,

When I learned of your passing, I was deeply saddened. You were truly an inspiration to me both as a musician and as a student. You strived to get the best out of your students and you challenged them in ways I never thought possible. Because if you, I have grown to love music theory and use those skills and knowledge every day when I write music. You will be missed and I just want to extend my deepest condolances to your family.
