Thomas Patrick “Tommy” Mars, 14, a ninth grade student at Horizon Academy who delivered the Chicopee Herald on Tuesdays, passed away from injuries sustained in an accident on Friday, March 3, 2000. Calling hours are scheduled for Tuesday, March 7, 2000, 3-7 p.m., at Tylunas Funeral Home of Chicopee, 159 Broadway Street, Chicopee, Massachusetts. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 8, 10 a.m., from the funeral home to Saint Patrick’s Church, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Donations Department, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
