Thomas Woodbury Merrill

I know this is very late and for some reason I looked up Tom on Google only to hear of his passing. Tom and I were very good friends in high school and after graduating from high school we would get together after work at our summer jobs to ride dirt bikes, cruise in his MGB whose frame was held together by 2X4s and rent a plane on weekends. I occasionally would see Tom when returning to the east coast and reminisced of the earlier days.

Sad news of Toms passing, he was an excellent pilot and smart businessman. I knew him for 50+ years and he was a great person. Condolences to the Merrill family.

Susie, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I have fond, long ago memories of Tom and trips here and there in the plane with Tom and Stan. Tom took my son Thomas with Stan on his first ever plane ride when he was about 2 1/2. As I understand, it was an ultralight plane. I think I had a small coronary later that day when I found out where they had been, but everyone was alive so I had to get over it.Thomas is a Navy Pilot now, so I think it all worked out.My sincerest sympathies for you and...

Tom was an active ultralight pilot at my little airport in PA when I started flying up there in 2003. He was always a pleasant guy to be around and an adventurous, if sometimes unconventional, flyer. I remember flying along with him in my plane as we visited several airports one day. It was a really special day for me in my early flying career. I'm very sad to hear of his passing. He hadn't been seen at the airport much lately but he will be missed.

Tom was a good friend and a hard worker. He loved to laugh and never took himself too seriously. He'll be terribly missed.
God works in mysterious ways we might never know the meaning of. Tom's life had a lot of positive impact on many. Trust that Tom is with him now and all those who have gone before us.
