Kristan Funeral Home - Mundelein Obituary

Tom was raised in Mount Prospect, Illinois where he attended Lions Park
Elementary School and Lincoln Junior High School in the 1950’s and
1960’s. He enjoyed playing sports and was proud to be coached by his
father Bob, who helped establish the Lions Park Midget Football League,
at the same time his mother helped start Midget Football Cheerleading.
Tom also played Little League Baseball. He went on to attend St. Viator
High School ,during which he met the love of his life, his wife, Cindy
Morrow. He went on to attend St. Ambrose College and Northern Illinois
University.
Tom began his business career by joining his dad in the graphics and
printing business. He and his dad later moved on to develop Loyal
Business Products and ServicesCompany where he entered into a lifelong
business relationship with automobile dealerships nationwide. Most
recently Tom was Director of F&I Solutions for CDK Global Inc. He enjoyed
directing and working with many sales teams to create solution-oriented
products for companies including Rusty Jones, Computer Care, and ADP/
CDK. A co-worker recently commented in a note to Tom, “I was blessed
to call you a friend and mentor.” Another said, “You make the job fun,
you have a natural ability to lead and make people like having you as a
leader.”
Tom will be remembered for cheering on his grandson Bailey’s hockey
team from Carmel High School. He delighted in writing the Corsairs
website game summaries and filming the many awesome game highlights
for YouTube. He also enjoyed many years of coaching Libertyville Little
League games for his sons Rob, Randy, and Ryan. Tom loved the
summertime gatherings with his brother Jay, and the entire family at
their Abbey Springs vacation home. He especially liked outings on the
boat on beautiful Lake Geneva.
In his leisure time he was an avid golfer. Tom also enjoyed incorporating
the latest technologies into his daily life. Alexa and Google were his
virtual-assistant friends.
Tom cherished his time participating at his church, St. Mary of the
Annunciation, with PADS shelter, the Men’s Prayer Group, RCIA Christian
Initiation and Children’s Liturgy of the Word.
Tom was the person that we all looked up to and admired. His love of
family, friends, and his deep faith were what drove this successful and
loving man.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia (nee Morrow), his children Robert (Ladda) Nitch, Randy (Carla) Nitch, Ryan (Kathy) Nitch, his brother Jason (Gloria) Nitch, grandchildren Bailey, Bethany, Brooke and Matthew.  For information visit www.kristanfuneralhome.com or call 847-566-8020.

Not sure what to say?

Our last team picture

I cannot express how much we are all going to miss Tom. To me, Tom was not only a manager, but a mentor and a friend. We talked as much about life and family as we did about work and it is now hard to imagine not having him here on a daily basis. To Tom, family came first. For the time that we got to work together, Tom made sure that his team was his family as well.
Thank you Tom!
Blessings to your family that you left behind and to those you made feel like family and blessed...

Tom was a terrific guy. I worked with him at Computer Care and then he resurrected my career when he brought me back to ADP/CDK. Very knowledgeable and knew how to run an organization. Great leader and down to earth human being. He will be sorely missed. They don't make them like him anymore.
