Thomas "Tommy" Tidwell

Macon, GA- Tommy Tidwell, age 31, passed away Wednesday following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Tommy was born in Macon and was a 2002 graduate of Crawford County High School. He was a caring man and had a heart of gold.
He is survived by his father and step mother, Sgt. Malcolm Tidwell (Ret., Macon Bibb County Fire Department) and Linda Tidwell of Lizella; mother, Marianne Tidwell of Macon; brothers, Bill Tidwell, Roger Tidwell, and Kevin Smith, all of Macon, and David Smith of Ft. Valley; and special brother, Blake Smith of Lizella.
A Celebration of Tommy's life will take place at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Lighthouse Community Church, 4301 Jordan Road, Byron. Pastor Ricky Tidwell and Reverend Bobby Hamlin will officiate. Interment will follow in Fellowship Evangelistic Church Cemetery, 4967 Sandy Point Road, Lizella.
The family may be contacted at the home of Mary and Grady Jones and will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.

RIP Tommy. This hurts my heart. I'm gonna miss that big smile and hug every time I saw you. No matter what kind of mood I was in he always made it better. My condolences to the Tidwell family.
