Parker Memorial Funeral Home - Bruce Obituary

Timmie "Tim" Joe Davidson 54, of Houlka, MS a dedicated husband, father, brother, and esteemed law enforcement officer was born on April 6, 1971, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, and he left this world on April 15, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center of Tupelo. He spent his life serving his community with unwavering commitment and integrity.

Tim graduated from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Academy and became a proud member of the Mississippi Highway Patrol, graduating from Class 53. Over the years, he built a distinguished career, serving in various facets of law enforcement including the Motorcycle Unit, D.E.A. Task Force, Cold Case Unit, and M.B.I. His dedication to the safety and well-being of his community was evident in his many achievements, including being recognized for over 100 DUI and seat belt violations and Trooper of The Year in 2017 during his tenure. After retiring from the Mississippi Highway Patrol in January 2024 as an investigator, Tim continued his service with the Chickasaw County Sheriff's Department, further solidifying his legacy as a protector of those in need.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tim found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was a member of Houlka First Baptist Church. He cherished moments spent hunting and fishing, and he loved creating lasting memories with his family.

Tim leaves behind a loving family, including his wife Pammie Pate Davidson of Houlka, MS, their sons Conner (Morgan) Davidson of Houlka, MS and Jarret (Sianna) Davidson of Tupelo, MS, and grandchildren Harper and Ella Davidson. He is also survived by his sister Tammie Winter of Houlka, MS and a brother Curtis Davidson of Tupelo, MS, along with a host of nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. Tim also leaves behind his furbabies, Zeus and Peanut Butter, furbaby grands, Moses and Robin, along with special friends, William and Martha Collums of Houlka, MS.

Tim was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Ann Crawford Davidson, Brother, Terry Davidson, sister-in-law, Beverly Davidson, father and mother -in- law Roy and JoAnn Pate.

A funeral service in Tim's honor will be held on April 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Houlka First Baptist Church, with Bro. David Blackwell officiating. A public viewing will take place at the church on April 18, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, allowing friends and family to come together to pay their respects. Tim will be laid to rest in Rose Hill Cemetery. Randy Box, George Brown, Chad Cummings, Jason Jenkins, Chad Moore, Richard Vaughn, Derrick Willis, and Adam Zachary will be serving as pallbearers. Members of Chickasaw Sheriff's Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Houlka First Baptist Church at 504 Griffin Ave., New Houlka, MS 38850, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, honoring Tim's compassionate spirit and commitment to helping others.

Timmie Joe Davidson will be remembered not only for his remarkable contributions as a law enforcement officer but also for his deep love of family and community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
