Fr Tim and I were friends since we were both Anglican seminarians in England. He wanted me to come over to preach at his Silver Jubilee Mass, but alas my health prevented me from making the journey. something I shall always deeply regret. I still can't believe what's happened, and that I shall never find his emails awaiting me again, but it's a great consolation to read all these moving testimonies from those to whom he was a pastor. Rest in peace, Tim. And pray for me.

Timothy Hopkins, to the sacred priesthood of Jesus Christ, according to the Order of Melchisedech, giving him the sublime power to offer the Eternal Sacrifice, to bring the Body and Blood of Thy Son Jesus Christ down upon the altar, and to absolve the sins of men in Thine own Holy Name. Father Hopkins and I shared many thoughts on the various problems within the Church since Vatican II. But, not all our face to face and e-mail discussions were "heavy".
I appreciated the lighter side of his personality. We always seemed to find something to "lighten" matters up, something to laugh about.
We especially had a common bond in our love of DOGS, Butterflies, and plants.
