Not sure what to say?

I looked up Mr Ruiter through google tonight because almost 4 years ago, I suffered a bad hand injury at work for the city of Marshall, Mi. I was less than a week into the beginning of my apprenticeship as an apprentice lineman. I was blessed to have been transferred over to Borgess hospital in Kalamazoo and ended up with Dr. Ruiter as my surgeon. He did a miracle of a job putting my fingers together, because everyone who saw them thought I'd never make it through that night with them whole....

I just found out about his passing. I am so sorry and the community (and myself) feel his absence as a huge hole. He was such a kind surgeon and seemed very gentle. My condolences to his family.

Dr. Ruiter was not only my hand surgeon who brought my hand back from being painfully crippled, but he and Hyacinch and Sterling were my neighbors ant Long Lake. I remember that summer with fondness, seeing what a wonderfully attentive father and husband he was. My heart breaks for this terrible loss of such a good doctor and man. My sincere condolences to Hyacinth, the children, and parents.
Your patient,neighbor and friend

My heart was heavy to hear about the passing of one of the kindest...humble gentle giants as I called him!! I pray for the family and I am thankful to have met such a great person.

I will see you again friend. I still can't believe that your not here. Kalamazoo lost a good Doctor. I don't know how many people have called to find out where the best hand surgeon in town went. This really saddens our communiy.....

Rest in peace Dr. Ryder.......

Hearing of the passing of Dr. Ryder was a huge shock and saddened everyone who had the opportunity to meet him. He was a wonderful person and an exceptional Doctor. He will be missed greatly and my prayers go out to his family and children. I hope the wonderful memories you made with him help carry you through this difficult time. Prayers and condolences

Walking in his office and seeing all his accomplishments on the wall was a big conversation piece for my father and Dr. Ryder. My son is in the Marines and every time we left our appointments he asked about my son and told us to thank him for his service. He was a very kind man. Dr. Ryder will be missed. To the Ruiter family our thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Hearing about the passing of Dr.Ryder saddened everyone in our department. He was a great guy and was always so kind. Our condolences go out to his family during this difficult time. The photo album on here shows the love he had for his beautiful wife, family, and children.
