Not sure what to say?

Trace, It is hard to believe another year has passed. You left us nine years ago. Shawn left us four years ago. We could never have imagined we would have had to endure losing both of you. This year, we lost my brother Marvin.
I know in my heart all of you are in Heaven. We know we will see all of you again. Until that day, we will continue to live our lives here on this earth, and will be missing all of our loved ones every day. Please watch over Logan and ask Jesus to keep him...

Another month has passed, Trace, and we thought of you many times. Shawn was in our thoughts too. The talks we had, the things we did together, ballgames, happy times, difficult times, going here, going there, etc., were all so enjoyable. But, now they're only memories. How we wish we could relive them again.

We should have appreciated them then, even more than we did.

I am sure the place where you are is a much happier place now with two such beautiful young men there....

Trace, I would like to continue on with the thoughts of your Dad. He was very proud of you and your deep interest in chess. He was always an avid chess player too. He was so happy to share that interest with you. You were always a very serious thinker and went in head first with everything you tackled. Whatever your interests, you gave it your all. I never worried about you when you had a chess board or chess book in front of you. You studied all the famous world chess players, and...

I miss you, son. I often think about our in-depth discussions on various topics. Your views were quite detailed. I remember when you finished #2 in a National Junior High School Chess Tournament. You were about 13 years old. I remember you played a Chess Master in a tournament at Bristol when you were 9 or 10 years old and the game lasted 3-4 hours. Your much older opponent was amazed at your skills at such a young age. I remember you played Ove Kroll, a Chess Master from Norway who was...

Tracy, we think of you, Shawn, and others we know are with you, everyday. Time passes by and we know one day we will be with all of you again. I love you and miss you and Shawn so very much. Mom

Trace, you and Shawn are on our minds all the time. We love you and miss you both very much. Our special friends, Dempsey and Katie, are loved and missed very much too. All of you were special beings.

Someday, hopefully, we will all be together again.
Dad

Dear Trace, August 6, 2009 seems like yesterday in a way. A date etched in our hearts and minds forever. Nine years. I often wonder if things were different then, how life would be for you now. Somehow I have accepted God knew you were not made for this world. He needed another angel in Heaven. I know above everything else, you are at complete peace. I know you are in a safe and happy place. And I know Shawn is with you. Things here are changing, and we are getting closer to the day...

I think about you, Trace, more and more with each passing day. I realize that God lets the special ones stay just a little while and then he wants them back. You were quite special. I think about Shawn too. He was such a delightful young fellow and special also. Further, my thoughts are often about Dempsey and Katie, such sweet and loving pals. What a special pair they were.

I love and miss you.
Dad

We're thinking of you today, Trace. We miss you more and more with each passing day.

Love forever.
Dad, Jonas and Seth
