TRAVIS PATRICK FONTENOT Born: March 6, 1978 Died: May 29, 2012 Travis Patrick Fontenot, age 34, of Eunice , La. , died Tuesday May 29, 2012 in Springfield , Missouri . He is survived by: his mother, Odile "Nell" Perkins Fontenot of Eunice , La. One sister: Karen Fontenot Widman and her husband Michael Widman and their son Alex M. Widman (who was the only nephew of Travis…where they all resided together in Springfield , Missouri ). Two brothers: Cody "Choppy" Fontenot and Casey Fontenot of Eunice , La. His grandfather: Clifford M. Fontenot of Eunice , La. He is preceeded in death by his father Stafford Patrick "CHOPPY" Fontenot His paternal grandmother: Mildred Richard Fontenot His maternal grandparents Woodard & Hazel LeJeune Perkins His uncle Steven Fontenot The final resting place for Travis Fontenot will be at St. Augustine Mausoleum in Basile , La. Where On Tuesday, June 5, 2012 the family will receive friends at 1 PM. At 2 PM Father Brian Taylor will proceed a gravesite service and Travis will lay to rest with his father, Stafford "CHOPPY" Fontenot. May they rest together in peace. A special thank you to Quirk Funeral Home. Grandfather Clifford Fontenot for helping arrange final resting arrangements. To Father Brian Taylor. Travis Patrick Fontenot was my best friend from 2002 until his untimely death.
We always had so much fun together.
He was so intelligent, talented, witty and handsome. I learned so much from him, especially regarding fine dining, period French Antiques, New Orleans and enjoying life.
