Every now and then Travis and I would get-together over a long lunch for what he liked to call “show and tell.” That is we would bring some of our recent art work to show and talk about. The conversation would spread to include many topics. No matter what the topic Travis had something profound or insightful to say. But what is especially memorable and endearing to me about Travis is the unique way he combined kindness, wit and contentiousness in his comments. I find myself smiling when I...

I did not know Dr. Looper well, but saw what a wonderful daughter he raIsed in Ruth Ann. That's quite a tribute to anyone. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in this difficult time.

Mrs. Looper, I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Looper. I always enjoyed your visits to the library. It was a pleasure to know him. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you, Nancy Kroll

Dr. Looper was the best English teacher in MCC's English dept. He was never too busy to answer his students' questions. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Dr. Looper was a wonderful man and a dedicated teacher. It was a great pleasure to have known him.

Joann and family I offer my sincerest condolences. Dr. Looper was an exceptional person and wonderful instructor. I feel blessed to have been a student of his and that I was able to re-connect with him at the end of his life's journey. Peace be with you and your family.
Sincerely, Melanie Crain
