San Luis Obispo, California - True Beauty is not just skin deep. True beauty comes from deep inside, And radiates to all who are fortunate enough, To be absorbed by it's light.
It is a beauty that is born from universal, unconditional love and acceptance. A beauty which transforms each of us that is exposed to that beauty, Into a more loving and compassionate individual. Trudi is loved by so many, because she loved so many.
Trudi Dianne Travis was born July 1945, in San Diego, CA, to Ormal and Ruth Runyon, while Ormal was serving in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war, Ormal, Ruth and Trudi returned to their hometown of Visalia, CA, where Ormal and Ruth established their business, Clark's Plumbing and Sheet Metal. Trudi attended Visalia City Elementary Schools and later Mt Whitney High School and the College of the Sequoias. At the College of the Sequoias, she met her future husband, Bill Travis. They were married November 27, 1964. A marriage that has lasted from then until today, and forever.
Trudi and Bill raised two very special children. A son, Garrett Sherman Travis, now deceased. Garrett's son, Conner resides with his mother, Jackie Travis, in Baytown, Texas. Their daughter, Sara Travis Stone, works and lives in Mill Valley along with her beautiful daughter, Skylar Travis Stone.
Trudi lived in the communities of Tulare, Visalia and San Luis Obispo. During that time, Trudi served many philanthropic organizations, including California Women for Agriculture, Las Madrinas Society and Central Coast Funds for Children.
On February 2nd, Trudi's physical presence suddenly departed this planet, but her beauty will grace our lives throughout eternity.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Donations may be sent to Woods Animal Shelter and Transitions Mental Health of San Luis Obispo.

Not sure what to say?

The loss of such a wonderful, friendly, caring, fun loving Trudy is such a shock to everyone. We will miss our long conversations solving all of the "world's problems with a glass or two of wine. Playing golf and MahJongg will not be the same. Also remembering no one could set a table as lovely as Trudi. There are just so many things that will remind us of Trudi.

I am so sad to learn of this just today. Trudi’s daughter Sara was my best friend and of course I still adore her whole family. I spent many of my high school days at Trudi’s home. Trudi was so good to us girls, and so elegant, classy and funny. My heart goes out to Bill, Sara and Skylar. Rest In Peace Trudi!

Trudi was a very special lady. Elegant in every way. She is dearly missed but we know that she is with us every step of the way. Love to Bill, Sara and Skylar

Trudi was a bright light. We were in bridge class together, and she always had a friendly smile and kind words to offer. May her family and friends find peace and healing.❤

You will be missed, RIP beautiful Trudi

May God comfort and give you hope and peace during this sad time. Please accept my sincere condolences, I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Trudi & Bill in Morro Bay when my girls were babies. They are family to us & Trudi will always have a very special place in our hearts.
