I had the extreme good fortune of being a friend of Vera Freeman for several years, I had occasions to be a guest in her home next to the restaurant. The home was pure Vera. We are glad to have had the opportunity to meet Vera. We enjoyed her and her restaurant.

I made a few trips to Vera's in recent years, mostly with fans of the tiki style, who wanted to see the decor of her wonderful place. I will always remember Vera's soft voice, and the appreciation she showed to my friends who made the trek.

It was truly a one-of-a-kind place, with an amazing decor, and we are glad we were able to visit it and see Vera, before the place was remodeled and Vera passed away.
