Not sure what to say?

My twin brother and I were students of Mrs. Lendvay during the mid 1980's while we were in high school. I remember her very fondly. She gave of herself and her time generously to us. Because we traveled a long distance for weekly lessons (90 minutes each way), she was always gracious to give us extra-long lessons and even sat down to enjoy crackers and cheese together for a break in between. I appreciated her special affinity for Hungarian composers and for introducing me to the sounds of...

I was a student of Vera Lendvay's from 1966 through approximately 1975. She instilled a great love of the piano in me, even though I didn't know it them. Now, at 52, I recently started taking piano lessons again and find that many of the pieces she and I worked out still flow through my fingers. I have so much to thank her for. She was a gifted teacher. I was thinking about her yesterday as I practiced... with the books that contain her notations... and wondered where and how she was. ...

I was a piano student of Vera Lendvay from 7th grade through college (William and Mary). I thrived under her demanding tutelage and have found many. many rewarding ways to apply my musical talents over the past 31 years since I completed my studies with her. May she rest in peace.
