ROCK HILL - Mrs. Verlayne Eury Humphries Henson, 75, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 9, 2010, at Tirzah ARP Church cemetery, with the Rev. Barry Yates officiating.

Verlayne in her element among friends and entertaining.....

Verlayne was a very special woman to a lot of people, especially Gina and I. Their nick names Maw Maw & Paw Paw came when Ed asked me to be a line officer, we were nick named Paw Paw and his boy's. He was Paw Paw & I was Jr & it has stuck for all these years. Verlayne didn't like Maw Maw at 1st but it kind of grew on her. She & Gina became best friends and she took Gina under her wing as she became president of the Ladies Aux at YC Crescent Shrine Club the year I was President 1996. Verlayne...
