Not sure what to say?

time goes by so quickly. No matter how much time goes by, we still miss our loved ones and will never forget them. Remembering Vern and sending hugs to Karen.

Cecily, now I know where you get your unfailingly cheerfulness from. Your dad sounds like he was such a wonderful man. I know you will greatly miss him. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Sincere condolences to the members of Vernon's family. I am so pleased that Vernon and I re-established contact about nine years ago after completing widely separate career paths. The term "unfailingly cheerful" in the obituary will remain in my memories of him, and to hear that he had discovered a "calm" in his last days also made a lasting impression on me. May the fragrance of memories soon mitigate the pain of grief. With deep sympathy, Hal.

Vern will be remembered and missed by us at R & R Automotive.

Karen and family,
Vern was the funniest uncle a girl could have. I will always remember fondly his stories and jokes (especially the rubber chicken). Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Love, Melissa

Cecily-You and your family have my deepest + most heartfelt sympathies. These few lines on your dad give me wonderful insight into where your great creative talents came from. And it's in these talents that he'll always be with you.

I was a roommate of Karen's when we were at art school. In the last couple of years Vern has added me to his e-mail list, sending wonderful stories and pictures of their trip to China, sent Christmas cards with his humorous stories and they were a joy to read. I didn't get to know Vern, but felt his warmth and humor thru his stories. He will be missed and we send our sympathies. Rodney and Myra Damm

I've kept several of Vern's wonderful Christmas Story cards - I keep them with my Christmas collections and reread them from year to year. I worked with Vern for many years at Univac/Unisys. Always cheerful!
