Vernon was a rookie agent in the Memphis POD when I first met him. I could not begin to tell all the great times I had with Vernon. Vernon brought life to the Memphis POD. Vernon was "The Greatest"! I miss you! Valerie let us know if you ever need anything.

Valerie and Hank! I learned of Vernon's passing tonite from a call from John Prickett. Vernon was one of the nicest guys I ever knew and always looked after me being the new agent in Memphis. I always admired his passion and joy for the work we did. There was no other like him..he was a one of a kind fella. My deepest condolences on your loss.

Valerie and family, I am so very heartbroken to have learned about the passing of a great, entertaining, generous man!! I am also so fortunate to have known such a gifted entertainer in the short time of known him. My deepest sympathy and prayers be with you all!! God bless always!

This is a guy that I loved and will never forget. I loved playing music with him and all the knowledge he gave. I lost a friend and a brother and it will be a long time before I find a person that loved life the way he did. Vern I hope to meet you in Heaven one day. Valerie you and Vern were like family to Brenda and I and if there is anything that we can ever do for you let us know. Love ya!

I truly loved that man. The biggest Character I have ever known. Playing with him all those years was a treat.
