Vickie Lynn Morrison, 67, departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2025, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
She was born on Oct. 11, 1957, in St. Louis, to William Swafford and Charlene Adams. Vickie wore many hats, but working as a Certified Nursing Assistant helped her to fulfill her passion to help and care for others.
She loved life and enjoyed making people smile with her jokes and humorous personality. Her favorite saying was, "I've got to roll my pants up for this one." She loved driving hotrods at George Ray's and even outran the cops in her Dodge Duster.
Vickie was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed yard work and gardening. She would pick wildflowers off the side of the road to add to her flower garden. She loved going fishing, camping and drinking coffee. Family meant everything to Vickie, and the time she spent with them was time well spent.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Swafford; and grandparents, Virgil and Loraine Joplin.
Vickie is survived by her mother, Charlene Adams of Brookland; two sons, John Jenkins (Michelle) of Jonesboro and Kevin James Morrison of Fort Moore, Ga.; daughter, Christina Collins of Paragould; two brothers, William R. Swafford (Sandy) of Weston, Fla., and Samuel Swafford of Texas; three sisters, Shawna Burt (Randy) of Littlefield, Ariz., Sheri Webb of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Denise Swafford of Texas, two stepsisters, Kristen and Amanda of Texas; 10 grandchildren, Spring Jenkins, Autumn Jenkins, Kaylynn Forbs, Corbyn Wells, Jase Jenkins, Madison Burger, Kaedyn Griffin, Josh Morrison, Sylus Morrison and Lanndun Morrison; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Vickie lived life to the fullest and will be missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3, at 1 p.m. at Greene County Memorial Gardens, 2901 AR-135 N, Paragould, AR 72450.
