Thaddeus P. "Ted" Lempicki

Thaddeus P. "Ted" Lempicki, 74, of Neck Rd., Old Lyme, husband of Vera (Sobolewski) Lempicki, died Wednesday, (June 18, 2003) at his home. Born in New Britain on December 31, 1928, he was the son of the late Peter and Katherine (Kokoszka) Lempicki. Ted was a resident of Old Lyme for 40 years; a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict; a graduate of the University of Hartford and retired from Hughes Aerospace in Danbury. He enjoyed car restoration and shared an interest with his granddaughter in equestrian sports. His life goal was to leave this world a better place; instilling these values in his children and grandchildren. Besides his wife of 52 years, he is survived by a son, Peter Lempicki and his wife, Kathy of Ivoryton; three daughters, Katherine Shaughnessy of Lyme, Susan Sanders and her husband, George of Old Lyme and Carol Whitley and her husband, Gary of Virginia; a brother, Henry Lempicki of New Britain; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Peter; and a son-in-law, Patrick Shaughnessy. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, June 21 at Christ the King Church, 30 Lyme St., Old Lyme. Burial will be held at Sea.
