Not sure what to say?

Vinnie became my best friend in 1957 when we played freshman football together at the University of Maryland. Four years later on February 4, 1961 Vinnie was the best man at my wedding to my wife of 56 + years. Sandra Dillard. Sandra and I will miss Vinnie for the remainder of our lives and will continue to have fond memories of our days together at the University of Maryland on and off the field. Vinnie is number 84 at the bottom of the picture.

On behalf of the Mulvena family our sincere condolences to the Scott family. Although Jack Mulvena has also passed, Neal and Dan Mulvena and we are sure Jack would remember Vinnie from the Jackson Street Boys Club, Sallies and Maryland.. He inspired us all to be all we could be. At the time we could not comprehend where that might lead us.

We also know Dim Montero would mourn his loss. One great coach to another.

It was my great fortune to play for Mr. Scott during my 3 years of basketball at Conrad from 1969 - 1972. Not only a great coach but more importantly an even better human being. Thanks Coach Scott. RIP
