Violet Marie Thomas, 90, of Center Township, passed away, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at her daughter's residence in Brandon, FL. She was born January 20, 1927 in Rochester, daughter of the late Karl and Anna (Pavkovich) Fauser.
Violet was a quiet, unassuming woman of faith who loved her family beyond measure. Her loving husband of 70 years, Blaine preceded her on July 5, 2017. Violet thoroughly enjoyed being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She treasured the many family vacations to Myrtle Beach which spanned over twenty years. She also loved traveling to a variety of other places with her husband. Violet was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church and Choir, Center Township.
In addition to her parents and husband, Violet was preceded in death by her brother: David Fauser.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: David (Cynthia) Thomas, Chippewa Township; Jeffrey (Joanne) Thomas, Center Township; her daughter: Kimberly Storar, Brandon, FL; six grandchildren: Jason Thomas, Carrie (Randy) Gernhardt, Melanie Martin, Blaine (Lindie) Storar, Stacey (Mike) Kraft and Tyler Storar; seven great grandchildren: Braeden, Leo, Brielle, Ethan, Logan, Angeline and Blaine.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SAUL-GABAUER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 273 Route 68, Rochester (GPS 484 Sunflower Road, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum). Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 in the funeral home with Rev. Frank Kantz, officiating.
