Not sure what to say?

She was a real contributor to the preservation of American history.

While researching my Hutcheson roots, I received several lovely emails from Virginia. We were third cousins twice removed but she pointed out we could forget the "twice removed" LOL. Anyway, she was a lovely and giving person always ready to help and share. While I didn't know her very well, I could feel the passion she had for her research, which was so appreciated and inspiring. I wish I had met her sooner. I know she is missed by many! Rest in peace Virginia, I hope you have...

My connection goes back to when Virginia was my guidance counselor at Tappahannock High School. She almost single handedly launched my college career. She also softened the impact of a difficult homelife by inviting me to her home during times of difficult tension. This is how I came to know her family. I have much to thank her for and am sad over her passing.

Profound gratitude goes to those individuals such as Ms. Davis who've left legacies for those after them to follow on the path to knowing their own ancestors and family histories.

Mom, It hs been three years since you left this physical world, and I miss you deeply and think of you every day. Your contributions to this country have touched many, many families and I am grateful for your legacy to us - for my life, your values, your inspiration, and your love of this country and it's heritage. You are with God now, and free of pain, but I till miss you here. Love always, until we meet again....

I just found this site. I look forward to reading Virginia's book to learn of my Bonner family history. I am very greatful to Virginia for taking the time to provide future generations of Tidewater Virginia such a jewel of their past. Debra Jean Bonner

What a lovely Souther Lady she was, all the grace and charm one would expect to find. Her clothes were perfect and so were her manners Eleanor Marshall Armistead

Virginia's work has been invaluable to me, and a true inspiration.
