Virginia M. Morris

1935 ~ 2021

Age ~ 85

Virginia M. Morris, 85, of the Town of Sugar Camp, passed away on Monday morning, March 8, 2021 at her home with her family at her side.

Virginia was born on September 9, 1935 in Bevent, Wisconsin to Herman and Leah (Billerbach) Marquard. She was raised in the Knowlton area and was a 1953 graduate of Mosinee High School. She met her future husband Lovel Morris in grade school and later at a high school baseball game which he was playing in. She and Lovel were married on March 20, 1955 in Illinois. The couple lived in Wausau and later in Brokaw. She and Lovel moved to Sugar Camp in 1985. Virginia was employed at the Wausau Club, Marathon Rubber Plant and had owned Virginia's Cleaning Service for many years.

She was a member of Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Sayner, Wisconsin where she was a very active member. Virginia was always looking to help others in need, this led her to assist with the special needs camp which is sponsored by Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed fishing locally and fly-in fishing in Canada, snowmobiling, cooking, canning bushels of vegetables, baking numerous loafs of bread, frying fresh caught fish and was the neighborhood mom to many kids.

She will be dearly missed by her children; Sandra (David) VanBoxel and Kenneth Dean Morris and by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lovel Morris in 2019, two grandchildren, a twin sister and by three brothers.

The visitation and service for Virginia will be private.

Inurnment of Virginia and Lovel will take place at Sugar Camp Cemetery.
