Not sure what to say?

Dear George; I'm so sorry to hear about Virginia's passing, and I know this will leave a big empty spot in your life. Be in comfort to know that I'm thinking of you today and in the future. With sincere sympathy and understanding.
Your friend, Robert Vanderschaaf

I visited Dr. Porter for years at Lambeth House with my Bichon Lady. She was always gracious to all of our VPP group, showing us her beautiful orchids, and discussing with me problems with my own plants. We talked about the beloved cat she lost. I wished that I knew of her Pittsburgh connections as we lived there for 25 years and had our first home loan from Mellon Bank for $20,500, and dealt with them for years.
What we knew of her was remarkable and gracious! What we didn't know of...

We are saddened to learn of the death of this gracious lady who has been a role model in a variety of ways - a pioneer in the medical field, a devoted wife and mother and a stalwart in facing challenging physical difficulties with grace and stamina for many years. She will be greatly missed. We offer of deepest sympathy to our dear friend George in his time of grief and remembrance.

I knew Dr. Porter when I owned New To You. Upon closing my business, Dr. Porter wrote me a wonderful letter of recommendation. I will always be thankful to her for that. Her kindness and great sense of style will never be forgotten.

Virginia was a lovely and courageous
woman, loved by all who knew her.
