Wonderful, caring teacher. Fun, engaging, and a very happy person to be around. I can still see her kicking her leg up to make the "shorthand" letter T and I'm 50 years old now. R.I.P. Mrs. Berkowitz. You were truly a special teacher and one of a kind.

I am so very sorry to hear of Mrs. Berkowitz’s passing. She was an awesome shorthand/business teacher of mine @ Proctor High back in the early 1980’s. I will always remember her special way of teaching & her great sayings! Rest In Peace, Mrs. Berkowitz & thank you for being “one of the great ones”! My thoughts and prayers are with the family...

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Berk. She was my high school shorthand teacher in 1984 and I loved her! She was the kind of teacher you simply couldn't forget, always animated, sashaying around the room in her handmade creations, and forming relationships with all of her students. RIP Mrs. Berk.

So very sorry to hear. I didn’t have your mom as a teacher but my ex husband did . I never forgot that she sent us a wedding gift. She was such a thoughtful and classy lady. I’m now a business teacher at proctor and think of her as my role model. Thinking of your family. ❤
