VIVIAN VERA WILLIAMS Smith Funeral Homes & Crematory Vivian Vera Williams passed to everlasting life June 3, 2018 at the age of 91. Vivian Williams was born April 7, 1927 in Rolla, Kansas to Obie Todd Bailey and Maggie Chloe (Davis) Bailey. As a child her family moved from Kansas to Washington State, settling in Union Gap, Washington, where she attended school through the 8th grade. She grew up helping her parents by caring for her younger siblings and working around the home. Vivian moved to Grandview where she met her future husband while working as a waitress. On August 26, 1948 Vivian married the love of her life, Robert S. Williams in Kennewick, Washington. Settling on the Roza in 1949. They were blessed with three children: Carole, Tom, and Joe. Bob and Vivian raised their family on their Evans Rd. farm, living in the same home for over 50 years. Many days Vivian could be found helping out in the fields weeding sugar beets and cutting seed potatoes. She was a faithful and caring wife to her husband Bob until his passing in 1996. Above all things, Vivian loved God and her family. She was a life member of the Church of the Nazarene. Vivian was a very loving and nurturing mother. Not only caring for her own children but she also took into her home numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives. Helping them when needed. A testament to the caring person she was. She was an avid Mariner fan and Prosser Mustang follower. She always enjoyed listening and talking to her favorite radio channel KXDD. She also loved anything Betty Boop and her Benton Rural Electric family. And she was by far the best apple pie maker ever! She is preceded in death by her parents, Obie and Maggie Bailey. Her siblings; Maxine , Otis, Edward, Virginia, Keo, Connie, Ewel, Walter, Ruth, and Shirley Mae. And her husband, Bob Williams. She is survived by: Her brother John Bailey of Superior, Wisconsin; her children: Carole Kramer (Terry) Sunnyside; Tom Williams (Ce) and Joe Williams (Mary) all of Prosser. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. We as a family would like to send a sincere thank-you to Heartlinks Hospice, Dr. Deisler, and PAC Mary Pine, for their loving care of our Mother. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Grandview Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow at the East Prosser Cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Grandview, WA.
