I just learned of Vladi's passing today and I am heartbroken. Vladi and I went to vet school together. Some of my most memorable times in vet school were with Vladi during surgery labs. In later years he took the time to call me about once a year just to check on me - I will miss those calls. I am so sorry to hear this news. Dr. De Jong was such a dear man and so kind to our pets through the years we lived in Oak Cliff. He saw us through the highs and lows with compassion and grace. Even after we moved away, when I adopted a stray kitten, I brought him to Dr. De Jong for his first exam. A terrible loss for his family. his patients and the community.

God bless you, family. I feel bad that I didn't learn this sooner. I haven't been back to visit in a while since my kitty died. RIP Dr. DeJong.

Lori, my heart breaks for you.
I continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

I am so sad to hear this news - Dr. De Jong was my family vet for Hilde and Sophia for many years. I really enjoyed all of the conversations we had in his office over the years. He will be missed.

I am heartbroken to learn this. He was our "family doctor" and he saw us through so much heartbreak with huge compassion. He was so good to me and my animal family. What a horrible loss.

I was shocked to hear of Valdi's passing today. Our friendship goes back to the early 1990's and our association with the Dallas Homming Racing Pigeon Club. My condolences to his family may God comfort you as you greave your loss.
