I still treasure the many hours that your Dad and I sat side by side making music. When I became Bandmaster, he was the committed competent member that every director hopes to find. We send our sympathy and prayers at the passing of your dear father and grandfather. We enjoyed the many years he was with us in St. Paul's Choir, Milwaukee. I have many fond memories of Walter. From Post Office days to playing in the letter carrier band and the 1st Brigade civil war band. Walter never had an unkind word for anyone. I will miss him.
