Not sure what to say?

Earl Brown, my cousin, with his mother came to my wedding, in San Diego, Cal.June 12, 1943. He was about 9 years old. We have sent Christmas cards most years, also birthday, since they came on the same day. I received the most beautiful cards in return. Now,Earl rest in peace and be with your mother, Hattie and Dad,Walt in God's eternal plan. Your,"love your music" Cousin.

Earl was a great man and he will be missed. I have fond memories of him, Jean-Pierre and all of their pets. He was such a kind and gentle man whom I will miss.

My parents had lived across the street from Earl and Jean-Pierre for about ten years before I was born. Being 21 now, I can proudly say that I've known Earl my entire life. He's watched my younger brother and me grow up. Christmases, Thanksgivings, New Year's Eves, our trio of uncles, Uncle Earl, Uncle Jean-Pierre, and Uncle Claude, would come for dinner and spend time with us until the wee hours. As kids we always expected hugs and kisses and were never left disappointed. As I got older I...

I am so very sorry to hear of Earl's passing- and so very grateful for his contribution which will live on forever.
Love,
Ty

As a cousin of Earl's living Utah, I was always "warmed" by the sound of his voice. He was as kind and caring of a man that I have ever known. Earl, I will miss you greatly, but I am happy that you have been released from your pain. Your legacy in music will live forever.

We first met Earl many years ago as our neighbor in Sherman Oaks and he quickly became a member of our family. He was in our wedding and shared the role of Godfather with Jean Pierre to our daughter. We will certainly miss "Uncle Earl," the name our kids gave him. He had a sense of humor that brought tears of laughter to our many gatherings. Earl won our hearts and we will miss him. (And didn't you just love his voice?)

Earl was a family legend. My mother, June Dickens, is his first cousin and they were very close. We will certainly miss him but we will forever enjoy and love the wonderful music he left for us and the world.

He was my great friend and mentor and more. I will remember him every day for being a father figure in my life, and a wonderful role model. He taught me so much. Goodbye, Earl, and may you rest in peace.

J'espère que tout là haut tu vas retrouver Jean Pierre, Babette et Tino ...
Tu vas tellement me manquer
Aurevoir uncle Earl....je t'aime
