Walter Goodman Obituary
Walter was a graduate of Landis High School and a lifelong baptized member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. He was owner/operator of Goodman Farm Supply for 60 years. Walter was a man of the “Fs”; Faith, Family, Farm, Friends and Food.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Peggy Deal Goodman and his brothers Elmer and Carl and sisters Dorothy, Margaret and Gladys as well as his grandson, Matthew Goodman.
Those with cherished memories are his sons Alan Goodman (Darlene) and Lynn Goodman (Jodi) and daughter Amie Goodman and sisters Mildred Overcash and Ola Mae Harrison. Grandchildren: Brittany, Jeffrey(Marisa),Katelyn, Erica, Nicholas (Jennifer), Caleb(Preston), Madison (Bryan), Tabby and great grandchildren; Oliver, Makayla, Maximus, Jayden, Paisleigh, Laiklyn, Calliope, Hunter, Nicolas, Jasmine, Josh and Myah.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home with funeral service on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church, 750 Mt. Moriah Church Road, China Grove, NC 28023.
