Not sure what to say?

We were blessed to have known and loved Walt (yeah I finally stopped calling you Mr. Meyers). What a great man of God, who loved his family, loved his friends and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. I'll see you someday in that mansion on the corner of Forever and Eternity, where we will once again debate the at bats of Sweet Swingin Randy Bush.

God Bless Edie, Jim, Russ, Monte and Susan in your time of mourning. We will always remember your husband and father as Coach, Friend, fellow member at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. We would always sing the Doxology after every football and baseball game! Walt was a great example of a Christian Man.

Quick with a smile, an energetic word of encouragement and willing to sing "On the Wings of a Snow White Dove" at the drop of a pin, Walt finally knows just how many lives he kept on the rails. My deepest condolances to You and the kids Edie, it will be hard to take this in stride the way Walt would want you to. I'll be the guy over here till I join you Bobby!

From wearing his faith in Jesus Christ on his sleeve to driving the speed limit, Walt, Wally, Coach, Mr Meyers was always the role model. Loved and respected by anyone and everyone who had the honor of meeting him, the world already misses his smile, his wit and his honesty.

Jimmy (My LHS friend/classmate), Cindy and family,

Most of us will remember Walt as Coach Meyers. He along with many other good parents and teachers of our high school days played an important part in our educational experience. Through their actions and instruction they taught us about dedication to God, ourselves and others. Still desiring to be a part of our lives, Walt and Edie were at our last reunion at Jimmy's and Cindy's almost five years ago. It was fun to watch him...

Our dear Edie, What a lovely tribute to Wally and a great picture of him. We are holding you and your family up in our prayers. God bless you as He has in the past.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Such a gentle man who loved his family. The Meyer family touched my heart and I am forever greatful to be a small part of that. God bless.
