As a new 2nd Lt. in the USAF I served as the recorder for the Group who oversaw the work the Lincoln Lab Communications Division was performing for the USAF at the Electronic Systems Division at Hanscom Field.

I worked at LL with Walter when he first started in group 36 after finishing collage.
Me as an electronic technician, Walter was my engineer and one of the best I have ever work for of the 36 years at MIT LL.
I remember one time when I had a problem and he was then the director and I had a meeting with him that he solved masterfully. Even with his busy schedule he took the time for me. (Yes little ol' technician me). He was a gentleman and I put him on the top shelf of the BEST!...
