My condolences to the Saunders family. My parents Ace & Eleanor Sovchik were long time friends of your parents. I remember your visits to our cottage at Chippewa Lake. a great generation of people.

For Memorial Day: This is my great uncle "Wally", who served with the US Marine Corps during World War Two on Guadalcanal, where he was wounded and caught malaria. More than anything, he was a great guy and went beyond as a husband, father and grandfather. "Rest eternal grant him, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon him." Rest in Peace, Uncle Wally.

RIP Walter
A very nice man who I only knew for a few years. We enjoyed some dances together. Shared a love of music.

My day was always a bit more pleasant when Walter would come in to the Parma-Snow Library! Whether he needed Norman Rockwell pictures or wood carving books, it was my pleasure to help him. I will treasure the Santa ornament he carved for me one Christmas (he insisted I write "WS" and the date on the bottom so I wouldn't forget him... I did, and I won't! RIP, Walter.
