Wayne Lentz, 76, a retired captain with the Kansas City, MO Fire Department, passed away March 19, 2019. Visitation will be 10 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 12 p.m. on Monday, March 26th, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Burial will follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery.
Wayne leaves three children and nine grandchildren. His life was a one of dedication, to people in his fire district, family, and friends.

It is with great sorrow that I learned of the passing of Wayne. I had the pleasure of working with Wayne for the better part of my career with the KCFD. He was a helluva Firefighter, a good man and a great friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest In Peace Brother.
