Not sure what to say?

Wayne is the most loving caring person you will ever meet. He has been a great help and support for myself and my girls.

Love and miss you Wayne.

Wayne Melonson was my friend. Our friendship endured and our paths frequently crossed over the years beginning with our early days as students together at St. Therese.

More importantly, he was a role model, a father figure to the youth he was charged to educate, a living example of how an African American man in our society can model behaviors we all can learn fromwhether in his work, his family life or his athletic and coaching pursuits, Wayne applied himself with imagination and...

2017 was a tough year of losses for our family. Miss you, cousin Wayne (more like an uncle to me), deeply. Thank you for your love and guidance over the years as my grade school principal, coach, mentor, etc. I especially want to thank you, however for being one of the positive men in our family who stepped up to support me and help guide my young men. We will NEVER forget that. We love and miss you much! My deepest condolences to your beautiful wife, Cousin Regjna and your handsome sons....

I was blessed to have had Wayne as one of my best friends since 1968. He was a great mentor and educator. He leaves behind an amazing legacy. My heartfelt condolences to his siblings, wife, sons, and grandchildren. Rest in peace and love my friend.

Melonson Family,I am truly sorry for your
Lost may God bless all and give you Pice

I saw my cousin Wayne all too seldom in the years since our families left Texas. All the tributes I've read over the last few weeks make me realize what I missed by not sharing his presence more often. Deepest condolences to his wife and family, his sister and brothers and everyone else who was touched by him. Obviously, he was a special man.....Don Wycliff

We didn't get the pleasure of meeting your brother Wayne, but just knowing you and what an awesome man you are, definitely tells us that your brother was probably just as awesome as you are. Truly sorry for your loss

You will surely be missed my brother. Your spirit will always find a place in my heart, soul, and mind. Enjoy paradise with the rest of the family. I don't know when, but some day we shall all be together again. Amen
