Not sure what to say?

Carol, I was sorry to see in the Marcellus, MI News that Weslee had died. I grew up in Marcellus and Weslee was four years older than me. We worked together for a while unloading freight cars at the local lumber company. His dad worked with a group of us boys in the local Methodist Church Sunday School. We met once when you both came to Marcellus for one of school reunion days.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked for Northwestern Bell, Wes was a very nice man. I ran into him in the parking lot at Cub in Maple Grove a few years back. We had a great visit. He will be deeply missed.

I have many memories of Wes; I first started at NWB ( the real phone co)working for his brother in law Dick Graham (another great guy). I first met Wes as a Union Steward working on the United Way-City of Hope drive while working in the Service Bureau. Over the years I got to know and appreciate this man.Wes always had this "presence" be it good, be gruff-friendly- humourous- or a straight no B.S. come to Jesus type of Demeanor. He was a multifaceted type of guy; he had many gifts;...

My condolences to his family. I worked on the staff in Omaha while Wes was in Plymouth. He was a tough guy with a big heart and feared and loved by many. When he talked, you listened. May he rest in peace.

To the Clemens Family
I worked at Northwestern Bell and remember Mr. Clemens always making sure he would say hello to people he would pass in the hall, "we" mattered to him. Another fond memory is his goose nest at the Plymouth office. Every spring we would wait for the hatch! Now he can feed and watch over all the geese and smile. Blessings to you and your family.

Sue: I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I will remember all those years he was our "Accounting Leader" at Northwestern Bell... I was one of the Administrative Assistants in Accounting and just loved working under his direction. Those were the days!!! My sympathy to you and your family!

I'm so sorry to hear of Wes's passing. He was a great man and a tribute to those who volunteered and gave back to their community. I served with him and under his guidance on the Plymouth Civic League and watched his tireless efforts to grow this organization into what it is today. He is appreciated for what he has done and what he stood for. We will miss him.
