William Marcus “Bill” Haley, 83, passed away on October 11, 2025, in San Angelo, TX. Bill was born on February 14, 1942 to Louis and Thelma Haley. He lived most of his life in San Angelo. Marrying his love of his life Loy on March 31, 1961.
Bill enjoyed the grocery business. He started his career as a teenager with M System Grocery. He spent many years working for the store, later becoming manager. In 1985 Bill purchased Two Rivers Grocery, moving his family to Big Sandy, TX. He enjoyed owning and operating the stores for several years. Bill and Loy made dear friends and wonderful memories while living in East Texas. After selling Two Rivers Grocery, they moved back and retired in San Angelo.
Bill was a member of Glen Meadows Baptist church for 27 years. He loved his church family, life group and bible studies. Bill loved to read. His favorite books were anything about history. He was a member of the archeological society in San Angelo. He enjoyed traveling to sites collecting arrow heads and fossils. He and Loy loved to travel together. Their favorite trip was to Isreal. Bill loved spending time with his family and grilling his special steaks whenever he had the opportunity. He will be missed greatly by everyone that knew him.
Those left to treasure his memory include his sons, Mark Louis Haley (Yvonne Jenson), Tonkawa OK.; Tommy Haley (Carla Haley), Gladewater, TX. Grandchildren, Mark Haley (Drucilla Haley), Loy Toland (Casey Toland), Hannah Lux (Dawson Lux), Christian, Joshua, Benjamin, Samuel, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Sarah, Annah Haley. Brandi Chandler, Chris Haley (Deb Haley), Payton Haley and Parker Haley; Great grandchildren, Caleb, Chance and Cole Haley, Logan and Chase Haley, Leo Lux; sister, Jean Meek (Dave Richardson); niece Schuyler Cunningham (Ken Cunningham) Kailey and Bryce Cunningham. Extended family Cindy Patterson.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Loy Haley. father Louis Haley.; mother Thelma Haley.; Son, Lonnie Haley; and niece Heather Meek.
A graveside service will be held at Belvedere Memorial Park on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM.
