Bill Albergotti knew everything about South Carolina and the history thereof . He knew more about an event than the newspapers did , both the printable and the unprintable. His bottomless pit of knowledge on political and historical matters was uncanny. He knew every thing about Doc Durham and Vim Herb and the opening and closing dates of the Confederate mint. His bottomless pit of knowledge about all things South Carolinian was eclipsed only by is compassion and generosity

So sorry to read this news, and make no mistake, it is news. Just glad I happened upon it to leave my most sincere condolences to Lila, and the family. You were all such a huge part of my life and I remember it all so fondly. Love and life to all of you. May God bless!

Lila,

This fine gentleman will be missed by all who knew him. I met Bill when I attended the Anderson City Council meeting on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce. He took me under his wing and shared his council knowledge with me. He was a great teacher for this newcomer toAnderson..
