Not sure what to say?

Will never forget the "banana ball" pitches, the tight coverage in football, and the great spirit. Best wishes to the Baitinger Family. Great memories!

Bill was an outstanding neighbor and more important a surrogate father to all the children in Sugar Hill - West Lafayettes neighborhood. Many games of touch (err - tackle) football, basketball, baseball, tag and infamous kick off returns were led and enjoyed by Bill. Bills children, Stacey, Bill Jr. and Mark grew up to be remarkable people and citizens; not in small part because of Bill and his wonderful wife Paula. We will miss Bill, but know he is tying on another lure!

In these crazy times, I just read that Bill had passed. I had been telling a new colleague at Purdue about Bill and his role as a living history book for the entrepreneurial spirit at Purdue. I worked down the hall from Bill for the last few years before his retirement and he always had a great conversation on hand and a pocketful of smiles. Please know it was really an honor to have known him. My thoughts are with you all; I often thought of Bill as my 'dad' in the office.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed seeing the family come to eat with Bill at Westminster. You guys were like family to me. When someone would come to see Bill he would just light up and be so happy to see everyone. I'm so sorry I was not there at the end but I miss you all and I'm sorry for your loss.

Bill was the neatest guy down in the electronics lab. His smile just lit up the whole place.

My sincere condolences to the entire Baitinger family during this time of loss. The Baitinger family has always been admired and respected by so many in the West Lafayette community. Please know the Smith family sends our thoughts, prayers, and deepest respects.

Mrs. Baitinger , and family, I am very sorry for your loss. I can remember seeing him flying his hot air balloon near Montmorenic many years ago.❤ANNE Leighty

I work with Bill at Purdue University. Have so many treasured memories. He was a joy and kept us laughing as we did our work. Lots of love and blessings to his family!!

Mrs. Baitinger and Family,
I'm sorry for your loss. I went to Otterbein High School when you taught there. Although I never had you for a teacher, I know that you were well liked and respected by all.
Again, you have my Deepest Condolences during this time of sorrow for your family.
