Not sure what to say?

To Bill's family and friends, my heartfelt condolences.

Bill and my brother Bob Ropchak (deceased) were best friends from college. He was over to our house and camp on many occasions!

Bill was very special in my memories as well. I can still see that smile and hear that laugh, even after all these years. That picture confirms it well!

With some tears, there are also countless smiles and laughs as I recall how he left an impression in my life as well.

So very sad to find out today that our dear neighbor, Mr. Bill Barnes, has passed from earth to his heavenly home. He will be missed by all, including my husband & I. Such a sweet, friendly man, always smiling, always a cheerful greeting as I passed by walking my dog. He would always ask how my husband was doing. We will really miss his smiling face! Our sympathy to the family, especially his wife, Linda.

Not many people in my life taught me about life and love as Billy Barnes taught me throughout my lifetime. I believe he's still teaching me! If Elizabeth Barnes, his mother, whom I believe to be an angel, does that make Billy an angel boy? Not trying to say Billy was perfect but he was a better man than me! Thanks for all the memories and love! We all know the expression --- what would Jesus do? I think its ok to say --- what would Billy do? Thanks Billy! ...

The Barnes family was always so very kind and considerate to my Mom and Dad. I send the family my condolences and prayers on Bill's passing.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

So sorry to see this in the Sentinel. Bill will be missed by a lot of old friends. I did a few repairs for him and his brother at the store on Orange ave over the years and helped him find a great auto mechanic to repair his SUV at Don's Autotek and never once did we see Bill without that fantastic smile. He will be sadly missed.

Devastated to learn that Bill passed, a school mate, accomplished businessman, and a great guy! My thoughts and prayers are with Linda and their children. Bill will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. Billy was a great guy and a former classmate of mine and we were on the reunion committee together. We had a lot of talks after our reunion meetings on politics it was fun talking with him. Prayers for the family. Shirley Lingo Newton
