Alice Reed Obituary
Died: September 20, 2025
Alice Leota Plemons Reed, age 104, went to be with the Lord on Saturday Evening, September 20, 2025. She was a longtime member of Providence Baptist Church of Seymour.
Preceded in death by her husband, Arnold L. Reed; parents, Rev. Merriman and Caldonna Plemons; brothers and sisters, Charles and Marsha Plemons, Ellen and Arlie Loveday, Lola and Glenn Atchley.
She is survived by her nephews, David Plemons and Lamar Reed, as well as other special nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the hospice nurses and special caregivers for their care.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 W. Simpson Rd, with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM, Rev. Greg Wolfe officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM graveside service at Berry Highland South Cemetery on Friday, September 26, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Providence Baptist Church, 5766 Sevierville Rd./P.O. Box 127, Seymour, Tennessee 37865, or Gideons International, PO Box 429, Seymour, TN 37865, in Alice's honor.
