Not sure what to say?

It has been many years since I sat in church with Preacher Bill at Center Hill Methodist Church. I still have fond memories of him and his family. There were many Sunday afternoons, after church, when he and his family would join us at our dinner table for Sunday dinner. The conversation was always great. He was learned on so many different things and his stories go could on and on. He was a major influence on me growing up and I am a better man and a better person from knowing him. As...

As we approach the 2nd anniversary of Preacher Bill going home I am reminded of a time last year when I sat with my sister Laura, on her death bed as she was preparing to go home. We talked about what a wonderful man Bill was and how she was looking forward to seeing him during the Grand Reunion in Heaven. We shared good memories and some not so good ones, like the time the church (Center Hill Methodist) had purchased 2 new window air conditioners for the sanctuary. Some ruffians thought...

My late husband, Rev. John Brinson, and I were privileged to be with Bill in a sharing group of United Methodist ministers and spouses. This gave us the opportunity to know him as one who loved the Lord and we were blessed to have him as a friend. I also have to mention how impressed we were with his beautiful garden and home.

We Met Bill Bowling when we joined Watkins Memorial Church.. He was truly a man of God. I remember his sweet family and girls and his very kind wife. He then attended Jeffersontown Methodist church and I saw him after we moved from Louisville, at my own parents memorial and a few other times. To his family who mourns him, we pray for comfort for you at this hard time, but know he is now with his Lord. Your dad was a very special man to us and many. Mike and Pam Bowman

While I only met Rev. WW Bowling once, he did a good job raising our pastor John Bowling. His son John is an example of a "good shepherd" in his own right. Through John, one cans see that his father and mother and sisters were/are a close knit family. A trait one can see within John and Lisa's family. As a Christian we see WW Bowling loving influence goes on beyond his earthly life.

I attended Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church while he was a pastor there. He was a big influence on my Christian life. He was one of the best men I have ever met. His love for his family and the Lord always showed.

Preacher Bill was our pastor at Center Hill Methodist Church in the late 1950's when I was a mere child of 9 or 10. He had a powerful impact on me as pastor and as a man and lead me to a life long love of the Lord.
I have many memories of him and his wife visiting our home for Sunday dinner after church and me sitting at his and my dad's feet as they tallied and recorded the tithes and offering for that day. My job was to go through the offering envelopes to make sure nothing was...
