Don passed away in Victoria on December 9th, 2015 at the age of 90. A farm boy at heart and a true gentleman, we will miss his smile, kindness, wisdom, and hearty appetite for life. Don is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth, children Randy, Brian (Jan), and Merridee (Wayne), eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and sister Bertha. Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, December 19th at 1:30pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2780 Shelbourne St., Victoria, B.C.

So sorry to hear of Don's passing and sincere condolences to Ruth and family. Don will always be remember for his kindness and thoughtfulness. His love and concern for all, especially you Ruth as his wife you were both such a wonderful example. Also the love and devotion to Jehovah and his organization. His sparkling eyes, his wonderful smiles, his jokes and his outlook on life, we will surely miss him. We now look forward to meeting him in our promised paradise when he will be healthy and full of vitality again. Warm Christian love from Peter and Margaret Cook

My sincere condolences to Ruth and your dear family at this sad time. Don was such a wonderful person, always ready with his beaming smile and a little joke. His kindness knew no bounds and this truly was one of his greatest gifts. I have so many fond memories of our visits and good times together over many years and will miss his twinkling blue eyes and zest for life. I am sending you all my love and deepest sympathy. May you find comfort in the hope of God's new system here on earth so very near at hand when we can welcome Don back to life healthy and happy to be reunited with his loving family.
