Not sure what to say?

Was shocked to hear about Billy's passing. I knew Billy from CP, played with him on the CP Diamonds and alway thought of him as Superman. Without a doubt the best athlete I have played with or against in any sport. My prayers go out to his family.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I know him from SF and played ball with him on the CP Diamonds. My condolences to the Hannifan family.

Just received word of Bill's death.
I was with him through Mater Christi and Manhattan and counted him a friend.
He was a good athlete and stand-up guy.
My prayers today at Mass were for Billy and his family.

Just heard about Bill's passing in the St. John's / Mater Christi Alumni Newsletter. It caused me to pause and reflect on a great guy and to touch base with friends from those high school years - sometimes we wait too long to connect. Bill - though much too early - you have now found peace in the "field of dreams". Your memory lives on - meet you at Harry's Luncheonette before and after school. Miss you.

My condolences to the Hannafin family...I remember Billy as a powerhouse... the consummate all-around athlete as well as being a great guy. A rarity in this day and age.

His exit stage left, has not gone unnoticed and is truly a loss to all of us vibrating in the instant parallel universe...

Owed to Bill

O Billy boy,
You really tagged one this...

We were so saddened to learn of Bill's passing. Our dad thought the world of him and we all have fond memories of those by-gone days and the Hannafin family! Our deepest sympathy.

"When the twilight is gone and no songbirds are singing
When the twilight is gone you come into my heart
And here in my heart you will stay while I pray"

Billy was a wonderful man and he will be missed. Our deepest sympathies to Bill's family & friends. Kathleen Purcell Brennan & Robert Brennan

RIP Bill...our High School days at Mater Christi were always brightened by his presence.
