Dear Heffernan Family
Upon seeing the notice of Bill's passing, I was flooded with memories of his leadership in SFX and Drum Corps. Bill always was ready with an open ear and provided encouragement to all the youth. He taught us to excel and never to quit. He made us feel important and valued. Though your hearts are heavy, may you be comforted with memories of his integrity and wonderful sense of humor. You are in my prayers and thoughts.

Thank you Mr. Heffernan for your service, rest in peace.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

Simply put, Bill was the best.
