William S. (Bill) Hickey, Jr.

Mr. Hickey was my soccer coach. I didn't love soccer, but I loved having him as my coach! I'm so sorry for your loss, what a great person.

WOW, There are not many teachers that I remember, but he is one of them. I remember his 5th grade class at Ridgecrest very fondly. All of the trips downtown, the "subtle" reminders to pay attention with the all too familiar thunk in the head with a piece of chalk or the eraser. I remember his love of Soccer, at the time it was the Rochester Lancers. It didn't matter how much snow was on the ground, during recess we were out there kicking that ball around. He truly was a teacher that knew...

Bill was a great guy and touched many students both in the classroom and on the soccer field. We are saddened with his passing and hope your fond memories live on forever.
