A Giant of a man and a hero and champion of the common Shipyard workers and the community. He was a friend to all no matter if you were rich or poor, black or white he was there for you. I will sadly miss him.

The first time I ever met Pat Keene was a long time ago soon after he had been appointed as Director of Test and Trials. The purpose of the meeting was to review with him the manpower budget that had been allowed to him for his department. The meeting lasted for approximately one half hour and was interrupted numerous times by persons who were calling him for advice.
