William "Bill' Arthur Lang, "Poppy" age 61, of North Branch, formerly of Davison passed Thursday December 25, 2014 after a fearless battle with Pancreatic Cancer, with his loving family at his side. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday January 10, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski, officiating. Family will receive visitors on Saturday January 10 at the church from 10:30 am till time of services. Those desiring may make contributions to the William Arthur Lang Fund that will later go to support local students in the Skilled Trades and to help other families fighting Pancreatic Cancer. Please contact [email protected] with any question. Bill was born in Flint Michigan on April 1, 1953 the son of Gordon and Joan (Madore) Lang. He grew up in Davison, and attended St. John Catholic School and was a Graduate of Davison High School Class of 1971. After graduation, he started in the field of construction. He then went on to own Bill Lang Plumbing and Heating, which helped pave the way for him to move into his true passion of being a Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector for various cities and townships. Bill was joined in marriage to Holly Critchlaw on June 29, 1974 in Holiday Florida. A few months later, they relocated to Davison where they lived and raised their four children and finally to their dream home in North Branch. Bill was a strong, driven individual that had a great love and pride for his family, home and his work. When diagnosed in July of 2014, he remained dedicated to his work and in his will to fight his illness. Bill leaves to cherish his memory wife Holly, children and amazing grandchildren; Bill & wife Megan and their son Brady, Bryan & wife Jillian and their children Keaton, Palmer, Ella, and Anniston, Heidi and her children Tyler, Logan, and Kylie, and Halicia. Bill's parents; Gordon & Joan Lang, his siblings Sheila Powell, Rita Lang and Gordie Lang. His In-laws Eleanor & Harold K. Critchlaw Jr, brother-in-law Harold k.
