While I did not have the honor of knowing or serving with Bill, he is a navy and submarine brother. Thank you for your service to your country sir, and now at long last sailor you have eternal fair winds and following seas. We send our condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to learn of Bill's death. I was his neighbor for a few years at Lake Norman and really enjoyed Bill and Dean. We went out to eat at Laneys and Bill always got the small catfish, which were very crispy and basicly had no meat, but he loved them. He loved to talk submarines and showed me many pictures of them. Dean would say," don't get him started". He would see Linda and I on our sailboat as we always would sail by his house and he would hollar and wave at us. I also...
