Not sure what to say?

So sorry to see this now. Bill and Herman were major influences in my life, even though we stopped visiting long before Herman passed away. Bill was a quiet, dignified, kind man. I will always remember him for his charm and warmth. We spent many birthdays, Christmases, and major life events together while I was growing up. Even made a trip together to London way back when. I am so sorry we grew apart. But I will always cherish the times we had. They were great times, indeed!

Uncle Bill and Herman were so great to me when I lived in Dallas for 4 years. They sure knew the best restaurants and entertainment! Their home was filled with beautiful collections and stories to go along with them.

I always looked forward to Bill & Herman's visit during tax time. I will miss his smile and his quiet, gentlemanly demeanor. He was a soft-spoken gentleman through and through. He will be missed. My heartfelt thoughts and prayer go out to his family. Cherish all those good memories, for as long as someone remembers, Bill will live on in our hearts.

Bill was always such a joy to spend time with, especially during Christmas. I will cherish my years growing up going to see him and Herman with my parents (Leonard and Marge McCown) and my grandmother (Inez R. Hoyle). His smile was infectious.

Our family sends you heartfelt condolences. Bill knew my brother, Jed, and myself before we were born! Our parents, Bernie and Ernestine Siddle, became close family friends with Bill through our uncle, Owen Siddle. Jed and I were older before we realized that we weren't truly related to him because we knew him as Uncle Bill! He called me every year on my birthday up until two years ago. He never forgot. He was one of the kindest most thoughtful men I ever met. He will be missed by many. ...

To the family of William Platt, please accept my sincere condolences. It is never easy to lose a loved one in death, no matter how young or old. May your cherished memories, along with the promise at 1 Thessalonians 4:14, bring you all comfort.
